The Coastal Research Group

The National Consortium on Community-Based Medical Education provides the academic home for the collaborative research projects of the Coastal Research Group and plans the National Conferences on Primary Health Care Access and associated activities.

On April 16, 2012, at the 23rd National Conference on Primary Health Care Access at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad, California, three four new Senior Fellows were inducted into the National Consortium: Doctors Richard D. Clover, MD, University of Louisville School of Public Health and Information Sceinces; Joshua Freeman, MD, Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City (Kansas); and Richard G. Ross, MD, M.Sc. Ed., Oregon Health Sciences University, Klamath Falls, Oregon.

In additiona, four new Fellows were inducted: Peter W. Broderick, MD, M.Ed.,  Valley Conswortium for Medical Education and Valley Family Medicine Residency of Modesto, California; Rick Flinders, MD, Santa Rosa Famly Medicine, Santa Rosa, California; Kevin M. Haughton, MD, Providence Physician Network for Primary Care, Olympia, Washington; and Asma Jafri, MD, M. Ac.M., San Joaquin General Hospital, French Camp, California.

The Senior Fellows of the National Consortium are persons who have participated in ten or more of the National Conferences on Primary Health Care Access and who have made at least one plenary presentation at one of the National Conferences.  The Fellows have participated in from five to nine of the National Conferences with at least one plenary presentation.
