24th National Conference: Dr. Lee Burnett to Discuss the Soldier Centered Medical Home

The third day of the 24th National Conference on Primary Health Care Access will begin with a presentation by Lieutenant Colonel Lee Burnett, DO, Brigade Surgeon, United States Army, 82 Airborne Division, 4th Brigade Combat Unit.

Dr. Burnett will describe how the principles of the Patient Centered Medical Home are being developed to provide clinical and behavioral medicine to the Paratroopers of the U. S. Army’s historic 82nd Airborne Division.

Prior to accepting a commission to the Army, Dr. Burnett was a practicing family physician in Mission Viejo, California. He currently serves at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He has served two tours in Iraq and recently returned from deployment to Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.

A Fellow of the National Conferences, Dr. Burnett, is founder of a network of media services that became the Student Doctor Network, organized around the website www.studentdoctor.net.  He serves as volunteer director of the organization.

Dr. Burnett is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences and was a Chief Resident in Family Medicine at the University of California, Irvine.
