What to Expect: Samuel Matheny, MD, MPH, to Present 21st Charles E. Odegaard Lecture at 25th National Conference

Dr Samuel Matheny, the University of Kentucky Assistant Provost for Global Health Initiatives, will present the 21st Charles E. Odegaard Lecture at the 25th National Conference on Primary Health Care Access.
The title of Doctor Matheny’s Odegaard Lecture is “The Past is Prologue”.
Dr Matheny, who holds the Nicholas J. Pisacano Chair in family medicine at the University of Kentucky, is a graduate of that institution.
Previously he was the head of the Division of Family Medicine at the University of Southern Califonria., as well as a member of the faculties of UCLA/Santa Monica Medical Center and Glendale Adventist Medical Center.
During the first decade of AIDS pandemic, he was the Director of the Office AIDS/HIV within the United States Public Health Service. He has served also as a district health officer for the County of Los Angeles.
The conference is to be held April 14-16, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco. Dr Matheny’s presentation is scheduled for the Tuesday, April 15, 2014
