John Geyman, MD, Emeritus Professor of the University of Washington School of Medicine will present the 20th J. Jerry Rodos Lecture at the 25th National Conference on Primary Health Access, taking place at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco April 14-16, 2014.
A critic of the process of legislating and funding the Patient Protection and Accountable Care Act {PPACA}, the health reform legislation currently being implemented,
Dr Geyman’s lecture will discuss the legislation’s strengths and weaknesses.
A prolific author, many of Dr Geyman’s works have been highlighted on these web-pages.

Dr Geyman’s treatises on the deficiencies of the American include The Corporate Transforation of Health Care: Can the Public Interest Still Be Served?; Shredding the Social Contract: The Privatization of Medicare and The Corrosion of Medicine: Can the Profession Reclai its Moral Legacy?
His most recent works have focused on PPACA itself, including Hijacked: the Road to Single Payer in the Aftermath of Stolen Health Care Reform and Health Care Wars: How Market Ideology and Corporate Power are Killing Americans.
He acknowledges that some of his inspiration for his critiques of American health care have developed out of presentations he has made at the National Conferences on Primary Health Care Access.
