Health Professional Student Association
The Board of the Coastal Research Group (CRG) announced the results of a vote of the membership held May 9, 2020. The Board had proposed a name change to better reflect the updated mission of the organization, with the new name “Health Professional Student Association” or HPSA.
Throughout the remainder of 2020, the CRG organization and website will transition to HPSA to better serve and represent health professional students, residents, fellows and affiliated academic organizations.
The organization remains closely aligned with CRG’s founding principles, including promotion of community and family-centered healthcare delivery and diffusing information through publications and resources.
The Health Professional Student Association is dedicated to improving the availability of healthcare resources in underserved regions such as those in rural and inner-city America.
It does this by representing the needs of health professional students of all backgrounds and providing additional assistance to students from underserved communities.
A diverse healthcare workforce that represents the background of their community ensures better health outcomes for all Americans.
HPSA is online at https://www.hpsa.org.
